Bokeh Game Studio CEO Keiichiro Toyama discusses first game in ‘Focus’ creator spotlight New title influenced by recent trend of "death games." Bokeh Game Studio, the new studio founded by Silent Hill, SIREN, and Gravity Rush creator Keiichiro Toyama, has published a nine-minute “Focus” video introducing the CEO and creative director, as well as teasing the studio’s first game. “Regarding our first game, I have multiple directions for my works,” Toyama said in the video. “The one I took is quite dark, far from my more recent titles. It’s like I’m coming back to my roots, for example towards horror. My ideas were starting to go that direction. This is where I’m taking my first title. However, rather than something deeply rooted into horror, I want to keep an entertainment note. While keeping elements from horror, I want the player to feel exhilarated when playing the game.” https://www.gematsu.com/2021/02/bokeh-game-studio-ceo-keiichiro-toyama-discusses-first-game-in-focus-creator-spotlight Já havia postado esse vídeo no tópico do PS5 mas vai aqui novamente.

As arvores antão...

Tales of Arise, the next entry in the beloved "Tales of" series, has been delayed from its 2020 release window due to the COVID-19 pandemic.Tales of Arise producer Yusuke Tomizawa wrote a letter explaining the tough decision, saying that "while COVID-19 has affected some aspects of development, we’ve done our best to adapt to the situation and have implemented remote development capabilities for our team." "However," Tomizawa continued. "We will need more time to achieve the quality and provide the gorgeous experience we envision for our players, and therefore we decided to delay the launch timing for Tales of Arise." No new launch window was given, but Tomizawa promises that it will be "provided once we have more details to share." To make up for the delay, the team has shared a brand-new illustrated image for Tales of Arise, reminding us "it is always darkest before the dawn." https://www.ign.com/articles/tales-of-arise-delayed-no-new-release-date-announced Tales Of Arise Delayed Out Of 2020 https://www.gameinformer.com/2020/06/25/tales-of-arise-delayed-out-of-2020 Tales of Arise delayed past 2020 https://www.gematsu.com/2020/06/tales-of-arise-delayed-past-2020 Tales Of Arise Delayed To TBA https://kotaku.com/tales-of-arise-delayed-to-tba-1844174299 Tales of Arise delayed beyond 2020 Bandai Namco’s next Tales role-playing game pushed back indefinitely https://www.polygon.com/2020/6/25/21303054/tales-of-arise-delayed-new-release-date-2021 Não me impressionaria caso já estejam aproveitando a situação da pandemia do covid-19 para migrar o projeto para a Unreal Engine 5, assim como a Ninja Theory está fazendo com Hell Blade 2: Senua's Saga.

    [PS4] Ghost of Tsushima

Ghost of Tsushima: Legends gets standalone release, adds new “Rivals” mode on September 3 New updates start to arrive on August 20 alongside Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut. Last October, we launched Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, our very first online multiplayer project as a studio, which expanded the gameplay of Ghost of Tsushima into a supernatural world inspired by Japanese mythology. And to say that your support and enthusiasm blew our wildest expectations out of the water is an understatement. We have loved seeing reactions and photo mode shares for the past 10 months, and have lost plenty of sleep staying up late to watch teams streaming their Raid progress. Thank you to everyone who’s played so far! With just two weeks to go until Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, we wanted to talk about what’s next for Legends*. As always, just like all Legends content, every update detailed below will be available at no additional charge to owners of any version of Ghost of Tsushima on PS4 or PS5, with no Director’s Cut purchase required. Players on PS4 and PS5 will also be able to play together seamlessly, and progression in Legends carries over regardless of which console you’re playing on. First, today we’re excited to reveal Rivals, an all-new mode coming to Ghost of Tsushima: Legends on September 3 (including new Trophies and cosmetics!). In Rivals, two teams of two will compete to defeat waves of enemies. With each defeated foe, you’ll collect Magatama that you can use to harm the other team. For example, you can spend Magatama on Shades to block your opponents’ purchases, Curses (health drain, exploding bodies, etc), Hwacha fire, and more. Once you’ve spent enough Magatama, you’ll unlock Final Stand waves. Complete these before the opposing team to win! Second, at the same time Rivals launches, we’ll be releasing the Gear Mastery system. This is a new expansion of the progression systems and rewards for Legends. Players who’ve earned 110-level gear will now be able to bind it to a class and activate “Mastery Challenges.” This will allow a piece of gear’s Ki level to be upgraded to 120 and eventually unlock a second perk slot! As you activate Mastery Challenges, you can also unlock a new Ability and new Techniques for each class. Starting on August 20 (release date of Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut), we’re also releasing an update that will add new features to Legends, including some changes based on feedback from the community. We’ve rebalanced the Survival mode to shorten the session length and added new weekly Survival Nightmare challenge variants. We’ve also unlocked additional cosmetics in Legends for players who’ve earned them in Jin’s story and New Game+. Again, all of the above will be available at no additional cost if you already own Ghost of Tsushima, but for those of you who don’t own Ghost of Tsushima yet but are interested in trying out Legends, we’re also offering a new way to buy Legends on its own, without the single-player campaign starring Jin Sakai. This new standalone version of Legends will be available on PlayStation Store for $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99 on PS4 or PS5 consoles. With the exception of some cosmetics that can only be unlocked via the single-player campaign, this is the same Legends content accessible by owners of Ghost of Tsushima, so you’ll have access to the content released in 2020 in addition to everything new described above. (And of course, you’ll be able to play cooperatively with players who own the full version). For players who purchase the standalone release of Legends, if you decide you want to check out the rest of Ghost of Tsushima, you’ll be able to upgrade to Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut at any time for $40 / €50 /£44 (PS4) or $50 / €60 / £54 (PS5). In addition to all of the above, we’ll be adding a new piece of content each week from September 10 through October 1, including an additional Rivals map, new Survival maps inspired by Iki Island and Iyo’s realm, and Trials of Iyo, a new harder-difficulty version of last year’s Raid that offers challenges in bite-sized chunks, and offers a new set of online leaderboards. Thank you once again to everyone who has played Ghost of Tsushima: Legends! We can’t wait to get all of this new content and the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut into your hands very soon! https://blog.playstation.com/2021/08/04/ghost-of-tsushima-legends-gets-standalone-release-adds-new-rivals-mode-on-september-3/ Enquanto isso a MS está fazendo mais e melhor pelos jogadores...lançando rosquinhas, frigobar e malas em forma de console. É de aplaudir de pé o empenho...

    [PS4 x PC] Street Fighter V

Facebook stops sales of the Oculus Quest 2 because it might irritate your face Oculus is voluntarily recalling the Oculus Quest 2's removable foam face cover and replacing it with a silicone one, free of charge. As of Tuesday, Facebook is temporarily pausing sales of the Oculus Quest 2 worldwide as the company announces a voluntary recall after concerns that a small percentage (0.01% according to Oculus) of users were experiencing adverse skin reactions after using the popular VR headset. This comes only a month before Facebook is getting ready to release a new Quest 2 with 128GB of storage for $299, replacing the 64GB model. In a blog post, Oculus (owned by Facebook) announced the voluntary recall of the Quest 2's removable foam face cover and replacing it with a new silicone cover for all customers. Oculus is working with global partners to stop selling the headset until the silicon cover can be included in all Quest 2 VR headset versions. "Oculus is conducting a voluntary recall of the Oculus Quest 2 removable foam facial interface in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). We are doing so in response to reports from a small percentage of users who have experienced skin irritation where the foam portion of the facial interface rests on the skin." Back in April, Facebook investigated reports of users experiencing skin irritation ranging from redness, bumps, and swelling while using Oculus Quest 2 headsets from as early as December 2020. The removable foam interface sits on the part of the headset that touches and rests on your face. The most likely cause came from a "few trace substances normally present in the manufacturing process that could contribute to skin discomfort," the company said. Oculus has already stated that it has changed the manufacturing process out of an abundance of caution and confirmed with dermatology and toxicology experts that the irritation was not an allergic reaction and any reaction should go away on its own. Starting on August 24, all Quest 2 headsets will come with the silicone cover included in the packaging instead of foam. Existing Quest 2 owners should get the replacement silicone face-mask covers free of charge right here. Of course, if you have concerns, you should probably stop using the headset until you receive the replacement silicone cover and consult a physician if you do end up with any skin reaction when using it. https://www.pcgamer.com/facebook-stops-sales-of-the-oculus-quest-2-because-it-might-irritate-your-face/
  16. Insomniac: Gen4 SSDs With Recommended Specs Are ‘Almost Indistinguishable’ From PS5’s Internal SSD Insomniac Games’ Director of Core Technology, Mike Fitzgerald, has revealed that the studio has internally tested some Gen4 SSDs that meet Sony’s recommended specifications, and the results produced by them are “almost indistinguishable” from the PlayStation 5’s internal SSD. Insomniac has been testing the drives with the recently-released Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and according to Fitzgerald, “it’s looking good.” He tweeted (thanks, The PlayStation Brahs): Folks over at Insomniac Games also tested some Gen4 drives that are below recommended specs, and while the results weren’t too bad, the studio did experience up to 15 percent slower loading in some of the most stressed areas of Rift Apart. Fitzgerald asked fans to keep technical specs in mind when making a purchase. Speaking specifically about Rift Apart, he said that the game relies on high-quality storage. So far, the Seagate FireCuda 530 and Western Digital M.2 NVMe SSDs offer Sony’s recommended specs. We’ll continue to update our readers as more options become available. https://www.playstationlifestyle.net/2021/07/31/insomniac-on-ps5-ssd-expansions/

  18. PS5: VRR Update Is Reportedly Coming In December Sony is planning to introduce the long-awaited VRR update not only for the PS5 in December, but for all compatible TVs that will then also receive the upgrade. The President of Value Electronics is now explaining why the whole thing is taking so long to come. PS5 VRR update coming in December 2021? In an interview with Robert Zohn, Founder of Value Electronics, who goes apparently deeper into the matter, some changes to the CEC protocol (Consumer Electronics Control) are coming up, including the CEC-Link, Arc, and eArc. Their specifications are updated within HDMI, which Sony would like to wait and see before finally implementing VRR etc. “I spoke a little bit on the side about the long-awaited upgrade to Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on the x900h and x90 and x95 and all the other 2021 TVs (most recent Sony TV models with HDMI 2.1), and that’s still on target for December this year”, said Zohn. “What they are waiting for is HDMI is going to be updating some of their specs on CEC. The CEC link is going to be changing and so is ARC (Audio Return Channel) and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). There will be some protocol changes in the way that HDMI is configuring that and Sony engineers want to wait and see. They have one firmware update for that.” What is ruled out is that there are also problems within the chips here, as was the case recently with the HDMI boards of some audio manufacturers, which were actually due to the hardware. That definitely is ruled out by Sony. In this respect, buyers of the previous year’s XH-9xxx models do not have to worry about it. As is so often the case, it is a problem of a lack of communication in which one simply leaves customers in the dark as to why the promised features are not being upgraded. https://technclub.com/gaming/ps5-vrr-update-coming-in-december/
  19. Bungie And Ubisoft Team Up To Take Destiny 2 And Rainbow Six Siege Cheat Creators To Court Companies teaming up for in-court goals is nothing new, but the latest case is seeing Bungie and Ubisoft joining forces to take those that are selling cheats to court. The aim is not necessarily to go after those using them (though that has been the case in the past), but to go after those making these cheating programs and selling them for profit. For both Rainbow Six Siege and Destiny 2, PC players especially have been purchasing aimbots, ESP tools to cheat health and radar systems, infinite ammo hacks, and more to gain the advantage in a match versus just actually learning how to be good in the game. For those not interested in having actual skill in a match, these cheats come in handy, but using them can get you permanently banned, while creating them can land you in court. Bungie and Ubisoft's lawsuit against Ring-1, a cheat seller that offers subscription packages to impact the online experience for others negatively, was filed on July 23 and names several involved in this operation in front of a judge. The lawsuit names Overpowered, Krypto, and Berserker as the leading offenders, with the lawsuit itself looking to seek retribution for a system that "impairs and destroys not only the game experience but also Plaintiff's overall businesses and their reputation among their respective player communities." Both communities have an alarming amount of cheaters, but Destiny 2's Trials of Osiris sticks out the most. So much so that this enhanced PvP experience has been pulled from the game more times than they can count, but now it looks like both companies are ready to go after a major source behind these hacks. Also including in the suit is a strike for copyright and trademark infringement. As noted by PC Gamer, "The purchase page for the Destiny 2 Cheats and R6S Cheats includes key art from Plaintiffs' games, along with links to share the customer's purchase of the cheat with others on social media websites such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn." There is no monetary amount listed at this time for reparations, though it could easily stretch into the millions following analysis of the impacted player experience. https://www.gameinformer.com/2021/08/02/bungie-and-ubisoft-team-up-to-take-destiny-2-and-rainbow-six-siege-cheat-creators-to Boa sorte para Bungie e Ubi!

Phil Spencer Confirms That The Elder Scrolls 6 Won't Release Until after Fable Xbox head Phil Spencer confirms The Elder Scrolls 6 won't release until after Playground Games' Fable, hinting at a post-2023 release date. Fans have been waiting a long time for The Elder Scrolls 6 to finally grace their PCs and consoles. Bethesda officially announced the next installment of its acclaimed action RPG franchise during E3 2018. However, there has been little information released since. Recently though, fans gained insight into when the Elder Scrolls 6 might finally make its debut. During an appearance on IGN’s Unlocked podcast, Xbox head Phil Spencer confirmed fans wouldn’t be seeing a new Elder Scrolls until sometime after Playground Game’s releases the next Fable. Spencer went on the podcast to talk about Xbox’s twentieth anniversary. During the hour-long interview, Phil and the hosts discussed the past, present, and future of Xbox. Eventually, this brought the discussion to Fable, The Elder Scrolls 6, and Obsidian’s Avowed. Some have touted the latter as a potential “Skyrim killer,” and one of the hosts asked if Spencer considered it Microsoft’s answer to the Elder Scrolls. The Xbox head denied this, explaining that Avowed, Elder Scrolls, and Fable will remain very distinct from each other. He also noted that TES 6 wouldn’t be released until a while after Fable and Avowed are out the door. Fable doesn’t have a confirmed release date, either. Also, like The Elder Scrolls 6, little is known about Playground Game’s upcoming action RPG. It’s not even clear if it’s a sequel, prequel, or reboot of Lionhead’s Fable series. However, industry insider and VentureBeat contributor Jeff Grubb expects Fable to launch in 2023, alongside Avowed, Perfect Dark, and Hellblade 2. If his information is accurate, it suggests fans likely won’t see The Elder Scrolls 6 until 2024 at the earliest. A 2025 or 2026 release date may also be likely. Fifteen years may seem like a long time between games, not counting DLC and spin-offs like TES Online and The Elder Scrolls: Blades. However, it makes sense given Bethesda’s focus on developing its new IP, Starfield. Despite its 2018 announcement, fans have been left in the dark on the game, with the only information on the new Elder Scrolls being that it is still in the design phase. Fans have long speculated that the next Elder Scrolls might take place in Hammerfell, a desert country west of Skyrim. The region has not been featured in the main series since Daggerfall in 1996. Some fans mistakenly took Bethesda’s trademark of Redfall as further evidence. However, Bethesda later revealed it to be an unrelated title in development at Arkane Studios. Spencer was also quite evasive during the interview when asked if The Elder Scrolls 6 would be an Xbox exclusive. Either way, it appears that Elder Scrolls fans will still have a while to wait. Hopefully, though, Fable and Avowed will help keep Xbox and PC players busy until The Elder Scrolls 6 finally makes an appearance. The Elder Scrolls 6 is in development. https://gamerant.com/phil-spencer-confirms-elder-scrolls-6-releasing-after-fable/
